It is so important for young people to have a space where they can share their fears and anxieties and talk about "stuff" they cannot do with their parents. Growing up years are probably the most difficult years of our lives, and yet we as parents sometimes feel that, well, we got on with life -
Couples therapy is a means of resolving problems and conflict that couples are not able to handle effectively on their own. It involves both partners sitting down with a trained professional to discuss their thoughts and feelings.
We are left breathless with pain after losing someone close to us, yet we are expected to continue living in this world. How do you do that? There is no one answer -
Magda Visser has been a Trauma Counsellor for the past 14 years. During these years she has come across a whole spectrum of humanity’s struggle to find meaning in their suffering, from reinventing life after losing a loved one, or going through divorce, or couples attempting to save a marriage, to teenagers navigating stormy seas in their attempt to manage every day life.
For each person to reach a higher plain of understanding of the self, it is required to deeply reflect on the way in which life develops and changes over a period of time.
Mostly these changes are positive but even when more negative issues become apparent, understanding the way these changes affect us, can be a rewarding experience in itself.
